Dr Steven Berryman

Dr Berryman is an arts and cultural educator who contributes widely to music education. He is one of the first Chartered Teachers and a Founding Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching, serving as its President from 2022-2024. His professional background includes serving as Director of Music at the City of London School for Girls (2015-2020), teaching positions at the Royal Academy of Music, Trinity Laban, and North London Collegiate School, and work across multi-academy trusts and university teaching at King's College London and the Royal College of Music. He was Granted Freedom of the City of London (2017) and served on the DFE/DCMS expert panel (2021-2022) for refreshing the National Plan for Music Education.
